Emicol Effluent Treatment Station
The preservation of the environment is a pillar for us and in order to reduce water waste, we have implemented an effluent treatment plant within our plant.
In operation since October 2007, our Biological Effluent Treatment Plant has the capacity to serve a population of 2.000 people and achieves a treatment rate of approximately 99% removal of pollutants and 100% removal of microorganisms.
To guarantee the sanitary safety of the water before reuse, ultraviolet disinfection was adopted as the last item in the treatment and the addition of chlorine in the utilization network, as an extra guarantee of this safety.
Today the use of reuse water comprises one third of the amount of water used in our company.
