Emicol Eletro Eletrônica employees participated in the Innovation Course, Yelllow Belt, led by the specialized company Pieracciani Educação. The approach is “Learning to innovate by innovating”.
Participants learned about the concepts, tools and methods necessary to implement the process of innovation management based on the four perspectives: Strategy, Processes, People and Ecosystem.
“The idea was to create a small army of 28 people trained and qualified with creative attitudes who will be multipliers of innovation within Emicol”, explains Valter Pieracciani, president of the training company.
Developed specifically for the company, the Emicol Yellow Belt considered a Corporate Education System based on three principles:
- learning laboratory, in which people learn by doing and do by learning;
- Innovation Accelerator, with fast and deep generation of incremental and disruptive ideas; and
- IBLT certification turning participants into Innovation Managers.
The program applied a set of state-of-the-art techniques that ensure the rapid and effective generation of concept and prototype tests, through immersive work sessions, based on challenges previously established by Emicol.
Combining education and consulting, Dinamizador's technical base is supported by the best innovation practices such as: Lean Startup, Politecnico de Milano (Design Driven Innovation), Design Thinking, Sprint Design, Oceano Azul, Canvas Business Model, Silicon Valley Techniques , Customer Journey, among others.
Based on these lessons, the participants developed five projects, and three of them were chosen and had their “GO AHEAD” to start the project within the company.
They are:
- Aftermarket focusing on the Customers' Buying experience: with the objective of improving customer service, expanding the offer of products and services, and training the team for a different approach from the traditional technological Emicol, with an emphasis on service excellence;
- High Tech Agribusiness: Develop technological solutions for Brazilian Agribusiness using the various skills of Emicol today widely recognized in the automotive and household appliances industry;
- Open Innovation as an enabler of Industry 4.0 Solutions: Improve Process and technological level metrics in an Emicol product line through an open innovation model that leverages relevant leaps in productivity and qualities.
