Emicol participated in the Global Business Students Competition 2021, an event supported by the American Consulate in Brazil, and promoted by the New York Technological Institute – NYTech, in partnership with Faculdade de Engenharia de Sorocaba – FACENS.
The purpose of this competition was to bring together students from all over the world with the objective of identifying and presenting innovations for 2 Brazilian companies, Emicol being one of them.
In all, 16 groups with students from different nationalities participated in the competition, presenting suggestions for best environmental, social and governance practices for Emicol and, after all the presentations, two teams were selected by the evaluators as winners for presenting innovative projects that could be applied in the day to day of the companies.
The winning teams were:
- Team #16, composed of students from Zhejiang University of Technology (China) and Wollongong University (Australia)
- Team nº 6, composed of students from the Faculty of Engineering of Sorocaba – FACENS
In addition to financial recognition, award-winning students from Brazil, China and Australia received personalized trophies from Emicol, which were hand-delivered to the national team by Mr. Peter Friedrich, president of the company. Group nº 6 paid a visit to Emicol's industrial complex in Itu, getting to know in practice everything that was studied for the presentation of the project, in particular, production lines of global products developed by Emicol.
We reinforce our commitment to everyone's safety and health and, therefore, the visit respected all safety protocols, in addition to having been carried out at a different time to avoid any kind of agglomeration.
